Warner Home Video will release "Xiaolin Showdown: The Complete First Season" on DVD August 8th.
The series - currently seen on the Kids WB! and Cartoon Network - is consistently ranked one of the top five Saturday morning kids programs.
"Xiaolin Showdown" is an animated, mystical comedy series starring monk-in-training Omi, hip-hop girl Kimiko, street-smart Raimundo and Texas cowboy Clay as they fight to save the world from the wicked Jack Spicer.
The warriors-in-training search the globe for "Shen-Gong-Wu" ancient artifacts that hold both good and evil supernatural powers.
Dojo, the 40-foot dragon, leads the warriors in a fight against evil boy genius Jack and his robot army who are on the hunt to gain Shen-Gong-Wu and harness their powers for world domination. The race heats up as each artifact is found and a "Xiaolin Showdown" – an intense winner-take-all double-dare – shapes up.
The show blends martial arts, magical powers and action and this new boxed set will include all 13 episodes from the First Season on 2 discs.
"Xiaolin Showdown" will be presented on DVD in full screen, with audio in English and subtitles in French and Spanish. Suggested Retail price will be $19.98, but the actual "street price" should be closer to fifteen dollars.
