Well, that didn't take long.
Arriving on DVD March 20th will be the "Anna Nicole Smith Collection," a 3-Disc value-priced bundle of catalog titles from the folks at the Playboy Entertainment Group and Image Entertainment.
In their two-page ad flogging the release in this week's trades, they call Ms. Smith "the most famous playmate of them all," indicating that their copywriters may never have heard of Marilyn Monroe (or even Bo Derek or Carmen Electra or Pamela Anderson, for that matter).
Included in the bundle will be "The Complete Anna Nicole Smith: A True Rags-To-Riches Story," "Celebrity Centerfolds" and "The Best of Anna Nicole Smith." The Suggested Retail Price has been set at $29.99, although that's only a suggestion ...we reckon you'll be able to find this for less than twenty-three dollars.
No word yet on whether the discs will include an all-new commentary/crying track from Judge Larry Seidlin, but you can pre-order the set now and save 25%.
Playboy, of course, is not alone in cashing in on Miss Smith's misfortune.
As previously reported, MTI Home Video is proceeding with its plans to release "Illegal Aliens" - a new sci-fi comedy starring Anna Nicole - on May 1st.
If only "Six Feet Under" were still around... we're sure she'd snag a cameo there, too.
